Fix Your Focus

There are so many things in life that are competing for our attention. Millions of dollars are spent daily by advertisers to get our attention in its undivided state. Unless we learn to prioritize, we will always play roles in somebody else's vision. You will find that time has gone by, you have aged without attending to the things that filled your heart while growing up.

As a child of God, you need to make time for fellowship with God. A relationship with God that is not nourished with fellowship will not be enjoyable.

The Bible tells us to look unto Jesus, the Author and Maturer of our faith. That is to say that we should intentionally fixate our eyes, hearts, and minds on the Lord. Set your mind on things above.

It is unfortunate that some of God's children are swallowed up in the things that are prevalent on social media. They have no life outside of what is fed to them there! The word of man has taken dominance in their hearts over God's Word.

If you fall to the distractions of this world, you will not be able to navigate through the difficulties of life with wisdom, you will find yourself entrapped. Loose yourself from such bondage, and set the terms of your life with the guidance of the written Word of God. In this way, when men say "there is a casting down", you will with revelation say "there is a lifting up".

You see, we are in a very unique fight. It is called the good fight of faith, wherein we insist on God's Word over every other word out there. So we are aware of the enemy's tactics in trying to distance us from God's Word by making us focus on other things.

We are not ignorant of the enemy's stratagems!

Spiritual Work-Out

The Bible tells us to work out our own salvation, with fear and trembling. For it is God who is at work within us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. We live in a day wherein working out is a vital part of our lives, and we thank God for this wonderful aspect of life. Bodily exercise is profitable, no doubt. Actually, the very scriptures tell us so. But exercising your human spirit is much more profitable, having promise of the life that now is, and that which is to come. You can gain more out of life by exercising your human spirit with the written Word of God. The Word of God has got so much to teach us, only we must be teachable and not bring our own preconceived ideas to make the Word match them. We cannot tell God how to run His Kingdom. We must be careful that our definitions of words and concepts do not try to dominate the definitions of God Almighty. As for God, He has His own definitions of certain concepts, and we must be careful not to replace His definitions w...

Navigating the Realm of Money as a Child of God

Navigating the Realm of Money as a Child of God =============================================== The Ministry of Reconciliation ------------------------------ As children of God, we all have a shared ministry of reconciliation. This means that our lives should be a testament to God's grace and mercy, guiding others towards the kingdom of God. The five-fold ministers of the gospel - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers - have the primary responsibility of ensuring the growth and spiritual maturity of the church. However, the ministry of reconciliation is not limited to these leaders; it is the duty of every child of God. The Cost of the Gospel ---------------------- Fulfilling the gospel mandate requires financial resources. In 1 Corinthians 9:7, the Bible states that a soldier does not go to war at his own expense. Similarly, as soldiers in the kingdom of God, we do not bear the full cost of the work we are called to do. The Lord Himself is committed to providing ...

Know Him, and then Serve Him

Often times we find saints rushing into the ministry, maybe because they got a prophecy that they were called into ministry or because they received some vision. Then they go out and pitch their tent and start a church!   But that is not the way of the Lord. Growth in God happens progressively. That is why we run the race with patience. David talked to his son, Solomon and said: _ “ And  thou,  Solomon my  son, know thou the God of thy  father,  and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind”1 Chronicles28:9. _   We need to know God first and then serve him.  How  can you serve a God that you don’t know? How   can you guarantee that your attitude and motive in that service is pure? The Lord Jesus knew that  He  was called from a very young age. He  knew  He  was born the Savior of the world yet  He  didn’t begin his ministry until the age of thirty. What was  He...
