God With Us

So many times, as children of God, we tend to lose consciousness of His Presence with us. As a result, we find ourselves overwhelmed and defeated by the circumstances of life. I want to remind you that your faith is what overcomes the world. If you do not apply your faith you may not stand a chance against the storms of life. These storms come to everybody, no exceptions. But whenever the winds beat upon you they must find you founded upon The Rock of Ages. I want to share with you a testimony that will help you remember your roots in Christ. It is a tale like no other, and comes from the depths of my heart, and the contents of this tale are true. Some 3 years ago I was in one of those positions where the circumstances of life caved in on me. As a man of Goind, I could in no wise yield that easy for I am loaded with the knowledge of the principles of the Kingdom of God. I had been battling for an entire year with these circumstances, and at that point I was nearing defeat. So I took on

Spiritual Work-Out

The Bible tells us to work out our own salvation, with fear and trembling. For it is God who is at work within us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. We live in a day wherein working out is a vital part of our lives, and we thank God for this wonderful aspect of life. Bodily exercise is profitable, no doubt. Actually, the very scriptures tell us so. But exercising your human spirit is much more profitable, having promise of the life that now is, and that which is to come. You can gain more out of life by exercising your human spirit with the written Word of God. The Word of God has got so much to teach us, only we must be teachable and not bring our own preconceived ideas to make the Word match them. We cannot tell God how to run His Kingdom. We must be careful that our definitions of words and concepts do not try to dominate the definitions of God Almighty. As for God, He has His own definitions of certain concepts, and we must be careful not to replace His definitions with

Fix Your Focus

There are so many things in life that are competing for our attention. Millions of dollars are spent daily by advertisers to get our attention in its undivided state. Unless we learn to prioritize, we will always play roles in somebody else's vision. You will find that time has gone by, you have aged without attending to the things that filled your heart while growing up. As a child of God, you need to make time for fellowship with God. A relationship with God that is not nourished with fellowship will not be enjoyable. The Bible tells us to look unto Jesus, the Author and Maturer of our faith. That is to say that we should intentionally fixate our eyes, hearts, and minds on the Lord. Set your mind on things above.  It is unfortunate that some of God's children are swallowed up in the things that are prevalent on social media. They have no life outside of what is fed to them there! The word of man has taken dominance in their hearts over God's Word. If you fall to the dist

On our Persecutors

Being a leader is an aspiration of many, most often the responsibility that comes with that leadership is overlooked. There are plenty tears that accompany such leadership. Be that as it may, the corresponding glory is not to be compared to anything, it surpasses them by far. Persecutors are better left to God, not for punishment, but like our Lord Jesus Christ we say "Father, forgive them. They know not what they do." There is a saying that goes "There are many who don't know, and they don't know that they don't know." This saying applies to our persecutors, they have no idea what they are doing. And it shouldn't surprise you that persecution towards you will come from baby Christians and unbelievers. But for the most part, it will be the baby Christians. We face, as it were, lions that want to devour us. Like the apostles of old, they were in peril of dangerous people, of false brethren, and so forth. But only the will of God will happen to us, no

The Power of God

Some of us are well qualified to speak about the power of God. Mainly because we have been in God's field and helped many that were bound, we set them free using the power of God that is invested in the Name of Jesus. I have personally led many crusades, and in those crusades the Lord showed forth His power tremendously. Never let these man-made viruses and reports mislead you, the Lord still heals people today. He will always heal His people because God is Love. I still remember the testimony of a young girl who had sores all over her head for a very long time and couldn't grow any hair. Her parents were good friends with my friends, and so it happened that when I went to visit my friends, we ended up visiting her family. When we arrived, the little girl came to greet me. I say her condition immediately, and her dad told me what was going on. I prayed for the girl right there, using the authority of the Name of Jesus. Some days later her dad told me that the sores on her head

The Holy Spirit

The Greatest Person on the earth today, The Great Holy Spirit of God. He is God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a Person, which means He is a personality. It is actually a matter of ignorance when you hear people calling Him a thing, making statements. “When we pray, God sends us the Holy Spirit, and it comes down like a dove!” Unseen yet very present. He is both where you are and where Iam. He is the Power of God. He it is who beautified the heavens. It is impossible to describe Him in totality, but we will talk about His Person in thischapter. Who is He? He is God the Holy Spirit. To better understand His Personality we have to look at Jesus. The Lord Jesus, when He talked about the Holy Spirit, He called Him “ALLOS PARAKLETOS” meaning ANOTHER ONE OF THE SAME KIND AS ME. _ “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever;” John14:16 _ This is what these words are in their original setting here, ‘another comforter’, it me

Know Him, and then Serve Him

Often times we find saints rushing into the ministry, maybe because they got a prophecy that they were called into ministry or because they received some vision. Then they go out and pitch their tent and start a church!   But that is not the way of the Lord. Growth in God happens progressively. That is why we run the race with patience. David talked to his son, Solomon and said: _ “ And  thou,  Solomon my  son, know thou the God of thy  father,  and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind”1 Chronicles28:9. _   We need to know God first and then serve him.  How  can you serve a God that you don’t know? How   can you guarantee that your attitude and motive in that service is pure? The Lord Jesus knew that  He  was called from a very young age. He  knew  He  was born the Savior of the world yet  He  didn’t begin his ministry until the age of thirty. What was  He  doing all those years?  He  was learning to walk with God practically. And when the appoint

Practice the Presence of Jesus

TL Osborn used to say that whenever he went to minister before a large  crowd,  he would practice the presence of Jesus.  He  would go up on the stage as if Jesus himself was going up the stage and he would minister as though Jesus Himself was ministering. That  gave  him the consciousness of Jesus being with him. With this attitude he ministered to millions of people around the world, healing all manner of diseases.   We should minister with the same attitude _ Jesus said in ‘At  that day ye shall know that I am in my  Father,  and ye in me, and I in you.’ - John 14:20 _ Now we live in that day. We live in perfect unity with God. We are in him and He is in us. Our consciousness should always be that God is with us and in us.   Consider the lives of the men and women that the bible records that God was with them. What great lives they had. Remember the story of Joseph? The bible records that ‘The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man’ Genesis

What Limits?

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief - Matthew17:19-20 _ Unbelief is the only thing that can hinder the power of God. Consider the disciples. They had the authority to cast out demons but because of their own unbelief, they couldn’t cast the demon out.   We can have the power of God but it takes faith to activate the power of God in our lives. If we don’t believe it, we cannot have  it. Any belief in the word of God must be supported with corresponding action.   Peter walked on water by faith.  He  acted on the word of Jesus when he said  ‘come’.  And in that moment, he had faith and the power of God that came with that word carried him and he walked on water.   The moment he let doubt in, he began to sink. He didn’t sink because the word didn’t have power anymore but because he began to doubt. Without faith the power of God cannot work for us. Faith is the curr

You know All Things

Unction - "An outworking of an inner experience." - TD Siwele  The Holy Spirit tends to guide us through an unction we get on the inside of us, in our spirit. Unction is well known by every grown up in the world, but, for the most part, they cannot describe it. You often find this in their words whenever something happens, whether good or bad, and they exclaim "I KNEW IT!"  They are not lying when they say they knew it, it is actually true. Their true failure is not mastering this inner treasure. There have been many times in my own experience, where people have betrayed me. But I knew in advance that this would happen, and I also knew exactly how to deal with it. Not because I am special, or anything of the sort, but I have trained myself over the years, to better understand the unction of the Spirit David expressed it thus:  Psalm 16:7 "I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons." He says "his re
